David is a Managing Director at Frontcourt, where he focuses on strategic advisory and business development.
Prior to Frontcourt, David led the Single Strategy and Seeded Hedge Fund Business at Bear Stearns Asset Management. As Senior Managing Director, he managed all aspects of the business including negotiating deal terms, obtaining seed capital, launching funds, providing oversight, and coordinating with marketing, risk, compliance, operations, accounting, legal and prime brokerage. During his tenure, he grew AUM 120 percent, increased revenue 400 percent and expanded pre-tax income 300 percent. David was a member of BSAM’s Management Committee, Operating Committee, Risk Committee, Best Execution Committee and Due Diligence Committee, and reported directly to BSAM’s CEO.
While at Deutsche Bank, David was Managing Director in charge of Trading and Risk Management for Absolute Return Strategies – Deutsche Asset Management. During his time at DeAM, he oversaw trading, equity trading and foreign exchange.
Prior to Deutsche Bank, he was Senior Managing Director and Partner at Bankers Trust. As a member of the Global Trading & Sales Management Team, he was part of an elite group that controlled invest/divest decisions, personnel issues, risk control and marketing strategies for 600 professionals and their businesses. David served as Head of Foreign Exchange Trading & Sales in NY, and was responsible for its 45 traders and sales personnel, while also creating and implementing the division’s business strategy.
David holds a B.S. in Economics, Management and Marketing from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
